Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Stir in the flour, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk and bring to a boil.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
  7. Combine macaroni and cheese sauce and mix well.
  8. Pour into a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.

Notes

  • For added flavor, include breadcrumbs on top before baking.
  • Make it spicier by adding jalapeños or hot sauce.
