Description

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked preferred)
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk mixed with seasoned salt for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  2. Prepare the coating by mixing flour with paprika and additional seasoned salt in a bowl.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dredge each marinated chicken breast in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  5. Carefully fry the chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 74°C).
  6. Transfer to a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
