- 2 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 tsp paprika (smoked preferred)
- 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in buttermilk mixed with seasoned salt for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Prepare the coating by mixing flour with paprika and additional seasoned salt in a bowl.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
- Dredge each marinated chicken breast in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- Carefully fry the chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 74°C).
- Transfer to a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
